Jucing Reboot

Welp here we go I decided that I need to take some drastic measures to get myself healthy again. I've decided to do a juice fast to kick start my body again. Getting rid of the toxins and then going from there to the healthy cleaning eating that I've been trying to do.

Into day 2 and I already want to quit. I'm starving but not in the way that you would think. I'm starving in the fact that I'm watching my family eat their dinner and here I go drinkin' my juice sipping out of the straw while mumbling in my head "son of a b*tch that looks amazing! damn them for eating that nice juicy burger".

So I decided I will blog about the journey of my 30 day reboot and give recipes on the ones I like. I started reading more into this juicing and I will get through this. hopefully it works out. :)

Day 1 of the Juice Fast:

Weight: 233
Bust: 42"
Waist: 39"
Hips: 46"

As you can tell I'm a pretty Big Girl and this is why I want to reboot my system. Lose the weight and get myself healthy. The heaviest I've weighted was 246 and I don't EVER want to see what ever again lol.

 So My Morning Juice was:

Apple Pear Juice
  • 2 Apples
  • 2 Pears
  • 1 1/2 inch piece of ginger root
  • ½ cup grapes
  • ½ ground cinnamon
Using Juicer, process apples, pears, ginger and grapes. Wisk together with cinnamon and pour into glass

This juice was FANTASTIC! I loved it! Great Flavor!

Lunch Juice:

Celery, Cucumber, Pear Green Juice
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 1 1/2 small to medium pears
  • 3 handfuls kale (spinach)
Rinse all ingredients. Add ingredients through juicer.

Was not much of a fan of this one. It was the cucumber I think. For something that doesn't have much of a taste normally it was VERY overpowering in this drink. So I would have to substitute it for something else next time.

DAY 2:

Breakfast:

Oh Sweet Broccoli
  • ½-1 head of broccoli (florets and stalks)
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 carrot
Chop the broccoli and peel the oranges. Juice and Pour over ice

This one was really good. Nice and simple yet refreshing.

Lunch:
Apple Cranberry

  • ¾ cup whole cranberries
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 apples
Wash and juice

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one! I ended up buying frozen mixed berries with cranberries in it. It was great tasting and I added a little spinach to it too.

So far the juicing is going okay. I do struggle while making the kids their meals and so badly want to eat what they are eating. Yes even a PBJ sandwich calls my name lol. But instead I pull out some grapes and eat those or have part of a cucumber. I WILL do this! I CAN do this!
